Fundraising
This last year we introduced two fundraising initiatives which you can take advantage of.  The first being the sale of firewood.  For the second initiative, we have partnered with Butchers Best (formally located on Rochdale BLVD) and are selling various meat products at pop up sales.  To find our more about both of these, you can visit the face book page knll306@outlook.com.

Playing out of Zone

Players registering for Little League Baseball, either through Kiwanis Little League or North Regina Little League MUST register and play with their respective leagues.  This is based on the players home address or school address.  The exception is for players age 13 and over.

In the age groups 13 and over, the league and tournament play is based on a city wide draft and in order to maintain one single point of communication and maintain the same registration fee, players age 13 and over need to register with North Regina Little League.

For more information on age groups 12 and under, you can visit Little League International’s web site for the rules and consequences of playing out of zone.  Please click on this link for more information (https://www.littleleague.org/university/articles/establishing-player-eligibility-in-a-local-little-league/).

If you are unsure which league you must register with, you can visit the following link and add your home or school address (https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/league-finder/).

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Coaches

As always, anyone interested in coaching this year must complete and submit a recent criminal record check.  For a letter requesting the check, please contact Gerry at gkrismer@accesscomm.ca .  There is a $10.00 fee which the league will reimburse with a letter from the league.

As well, you are also required to complete the respect in sport course.  See below for information:

What is Respect in Sport?
RiS is an on-line training program for coaches and sport leaders. It is designed as a tool to assist in identifying and dealing with abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying in sport.
Why is this being implemented?
Sask Sport Inc. believes that we should be proactive in making sport in our Province as safe as possible and welcoming for all participants. Respect in Sport helps us promote those values through this simple and convenient on-line tool. It is being implemented to provide a better sport environment for all participants.
Why is RiS mandatory?
Identifying and dealing with abuse, neglect, harassment and bullying in sport is very important and we believe ALL coaches and sport leaders must understand the fundamentals. In knowing that all of our coaches have had this essential training we will also be better prepared to mitigate liability both personal and organizational.
How is Respect in Sport implemented?
Respect in Sport is presented as an online curriculum and includes audio/visual presentations quizzes and printable handouts.
